As one of the nation’s fastest courts, the Eastern District of Virginia is often referred to as “The Rocket Docket.” Trials often happen within 8 months of filing, and discovery periods last less than 120 days, without continuances. Motions get resolved weekly. And the court sticks to these deadlines.
